Landscape Photography – The Full “Perigee” Moon

Location and Date: Winchester, VA – March 2011

The Details: This past weekend’s moon was the biggest and brightest in the past 20 years. It is known as a “perigee” moon – a perigee-syzygy of the Earth-Moon-Sun system or “supermoon” is a full or new moon that coincides with a close approach by the Moon to the Earth. After reading a bedtime story to my kids, I went out and was able to capture a few photographs of this awesome moon.
