I would absolutely recommend Aaron to anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer!" - Lindsay S.

Wedding Photography – Erik and Sarah in Markham, VA

Location and Date: Ceremony – Markham United Methodist Church | Reception – Bowling Green Country Club | January 2014

The Details: January weddings are pretty rare, but even more unique are weekday weddings held in January! This has been a very cold and snowy winter, but Erik and Sarah had luck on their side as the weather was sunny and actually quite nice out for their Thursday wedding. The ceremony was held in a historic stone church in Markham, VA…one of the oldest churches in the area. After their bagpipe sendoff, we headed over to Bowling Green Country Club where some snow was still on the ground from the last weather event. That was a must to include in some of their photographs, since it was a winter wedding after all!

Wedding Photography – Robbie and Kelly at the Nancy Shepherd House

Location and Date: Nancy Shepherd House Inn, Winchester, VA | January 2014

The Details: Robbie and Kelly are from out of town and chose to vacation to Winchester, VA and get married in an intimate private ceremony at the local favorite bed and breakfast. With only officiant David McLaughlin and myself on-hand to attend, Robbie and Kelly exchanged rings and were officially pronounced husband and wife. We spent a few minutes taking some photos in and around the Inn afterwards :)

Engagement Photography – Kris and Erica’s Snow E-Session at Blandy Farm

Location and Date: The Virginia State Arboretum (Blandy Farm) | December 2013

The Details: Kris and Erica are new to the Northern Virginia area (I’m doing their wedding in northern Pennsylvania) so they asked me for some location suggestions for their engagement session. We were originally scheduled to take their photos at Shenandoah National Park, but due to the snow, the park was closed. At the last minute we decided to switch up the location to the tried and true Blandy Farm…and it turned out to be beautiful. It was cold, but the sun was out, the wind wasn’t too bad and the snow on the ground made for some very pretty photographs.

Engagement Photography – Frank and Cristina in Leesburg, VA

Location and Date: Leesburg, VA | November 2014

The Details: All of my clients have something about them that I really enjoy, and with Frank and Cristina it was their sense of humor. I am positive I spent more time laughing than taking their photographs due to how they acted with one another and the jokes they kept cracking. I enjoyed every minute of it and am really looking forward to their wedding in May!

Engagement Photography – Brad and Allie in Maurertown, VA

Location and Date: Maurertown, VA | November 2013

The Details: This was my second trip to family property in Maurertown, Virginia for an engagement session in one month…and that is not a complaint but an exclamation of excitement! I love family property sessions for as I have said over and over on my website here, they give me an opportunity to photograph people in an environment usually not open to many photographers. Brad and Allie were awesome. Allie has been in or invited to at least three weddings I have done in the past, so it is quite awesome to know I will be photographing her wedding in the fall of 2014!

Engagement Photography – Tim and Lauren in Stephens City, VA

Location and Date: Family Property, Stephens City, VA | November 2013

The Details: I have the opportunity to photograph at all types of venues and locations…and each has its own specific charm. However each time I do an engagement session and the couple tells me they would like to do it on family property, I become energized as I know I am going to have access to a spot that no other photographers normally would. Tim and Lauren wanted to do their engagement session in family-owned property in the wooded area of Stephens City, and it…was…awesome. The woods always makes for great photography as each area has its own character and charm.

Wedding Photography – Joel and Beth’s Catholic Wedding in Woodbridge, VA

Location and Date: Ceremony – St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church | Reception – Old Hickory Golf Course, Woodbridge, VA | November 2013

The Details: Joel and Beth’s Roman Catholic wedding was my last of 2013 and it was a wonderful way to close out the year. Both families are strong Roman Catholics so the ceremony included a mass along with communion. I always enjoy photographing a full catholic mass due to all the visuals and procedures that are part of the ceremony. Following the mass, Joel and Beth had perfect weather outside, so we took full advantage of the full colored leaves that were ever-present at the Old Hickory Golf Course.

“Aaron was a pleasure to work with and our photographs are beautiful. The groom was very set on getting digital copies of all the photos with full rights, which we did. If you look at Aaron’s website or Facebook page, you will get an idea of his style, which suited our wedding beautifully. For the posed pictures, he found the proper balance between telling us what to do to look good and letting us be us. At least twice, he anticipated shots my bridesmaids were about to ask for. Once we were at the reception, I basically didn’t notice him, which was just want I wanted.” – Beth L.

Engagement Photography – Tyler and Mandy in Nokesville, VA

Location and Date: Nokesville, VA Family Property | November 2013

The Details: I’m catching up on blogging a bunch of the year-end engagement sessions I did for 2013, and first up is Tyler and Mandy. It was a perfect fall afternoon as we spent some time at Mandy’s parents’ property and her twin-sister’s property nearby. I always love exploring places that not many other photographers have access to as I know a new and unique photograph will always come from it. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention a special thanks to Sassy the dog for being a good sport for a few photos!
